Saat kaç?

A-Abi saat kaç?
B-Su bul bana.
A-Abi ne yapıcan suyu ki?
B-İki top atıp saati söylücem sana.

Yakın bir gelecekte, yeni bir tasarım sayesinde böyle bir dialogla karşılaşmak olası.
Mekanizma şöyle çalışıyor:Suyun içerisine biri beyaz, biri kırmızı iki top atılıyor. Tabiki bunlar sadece renklerinden dolayı farklı değiller.Sahip oldukları mıknatıs özelliği sayesinde bir akrep ve yelkovan görevi görerek, saatin kaç olduğunu bize söylüyorlar.
Waterclock

Rondo Alla Turca

Rondo Alla Turca also named as Turkish March was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. When Ottoman empire and Ottoman military band were very popular in Europe, Mozart was composing Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major, K 331.For the third part he was inspired by sounds of Ottoman military band and this well-known composition came out.
This composition is still very important for Turkey and it's often used for Turkey country presentation.
How did Ottoman Empire effect on European culture?
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave importance to Turkish people. During and after being surrounded Viyana by Ottoman,Europeans especially citiziens from Austro-Hungarian Empire had a closed relationship between Turkish people.Because Austro-Hungarian Empire was rescued from this surrounding, being afraid of this enemy vanished and Ottoman's life was started wondering.Ottoman's cloths became famous between men and women in Europe. Turkish coffee, of which Mozart was fond ,had a good place in this society. Also, percussion instruments and wind instruments used by Ottoman Military Band was included to European Military Bands. The sound associated with the mehterân also exercised an influence on European classical music, with composers such as Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven all writing compositions inspired by or designed to imitate the music of the mehters.

Influenza, which hell did you come out?

Inevitably,I've caught flu.My mom,dad and my siblings have already caught flu and finally I couldn't resist flu viruses although I did whatever I could. Actually I think that I have caught flu because I missed something to do!!!!Yes yes.I used same vowel which was used by all my sick family members. :( Anyway, It's too late to remember it.All things are water under the bridges now.
I'm spending most of my time in my bed and my best friend helping me end my boredom is ofcourse my computer. Thanks to wikihow I've found something to recover flu and I want to share with you

How to Overcome Influenza:
Steps

1. Understand that the single best way to overcome the flu is to get the vaccine, preferably a few weeks before the season starts. The vaccine takes a good two weeks to fully kick in and leaves you susceptible to the flu during that two week period.
2. Remember that the first and most important way to fight off the flu is to get plenty of sleep. It sounds obvious, but getting a full 8 hours or more every night gives your body more time to fight. At night, when your body doesn't have to serve your needs, it serves its own much more effectively. If you find you're having trouble sleeping due to congestion, take a decongestant/antihistamine. Not only will it clear your sinuses, antihistamines also make you drowsy.
3. Keep in mind, if you are lucky enough to get a prescription antiviral medication, take it. Several over-the-counter antiviral medications are also available, but please use them as directed. Overdosing with them will not make them work faster! If you're on a prescription, always make sure to finish it, even if you don't feel sick anymore! If you don't completely destroy the infection, it will likely rise again, but this time it will be resistant to the medicine.
4. Take a vitamin C supplement. Vitamin C is the most important vitamin with regards to your immune system. It can be found in a variety of doses, but most people get plenty with one 500mg tablet once or twice per day. It is extremely difficult to overdose on Vitamin C as it is a water soluble vitamin, but be advised that what your body doesn't use, it discards, and it burns on the way out.
5. Drink plenty of fluids. Another obvious one, but fluids help your body do what it has to do. Water is the first best thing for keeping yourself hydrated, but if you grow tired of it, orange juice or sports drinks also work. (Orange juice will supplement your vitamin C intake and sports drinks can help restore your electrolytic balance.) Sodas are NOT fluids. The first ingredient may be carbonated water, but on the whole a soda acts as a diuretic, actually causing you to lose water. Also, green tea and even tea in general is a good alternative to soda pop.
6. Remember: fevers are your friends. Even though people react negatively to a fever, it is one of your body's natural defenses against illness. The fever helps to kill the invaders. Keep yourself warm though, as fevers tend to make us always feel colder then usual. You shouldn't ever break a fever UNLESS it reaches a point so high that it threatens the rest of your body. If your fever ever reaches 103 or more, it's time for action. Taking ibuprofen can help to reduce a fever, but if drastic measures are needed, soak in a tub of tepid water. (Cold water will likely put your body into shock.)
7. Blow your nose. Even though you may be tempted to keep yourself on decongestants and antihistamines all day, don't. The mucus in your nose is actually quite adept at trapping foreign viruses. Just don't sniff it back up! That only reintroduces the virus to your system.
8. Remember that if all goes well, the cold will be gone in a matter of a few days.

Johnny Got His Gun

If you haven't watched this movie yet,I strongly recommend to watch it.
Maybe you remember "One" from Metallica. Its lyrics are about story of Johnny's tragedy.I would like to share the lyrics and the video:

I can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel the scream
This terrible silence stops me

Now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there's not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please god, wake me

Back in the womb it's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live

Fed through the tube that sticks in me
Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please god, wake me

Now the world is gone I'm just one
Oh god, help me

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please god, help me

Darkness imprisoning me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell

Landmines has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing
Taken my arms
Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell

Women

This is an extract from url://http://www.robertbody.com/zforeign_sources/collections/nice_stories.html

"WOMEN have strengths that amaze men. They carry children, they carry
hardships, they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

WOMEN wait by the phone for a "safe at home call" from a friend or
relative after a snowy drive home.

WOMEN have special qualities about them. They volunteer for good
causes.

They are pink ladies in hospitals, they bring food to shut ins.

They are childcare workers, executives, attorneys, stay-at-home moms,
biker babes and your neighbors. They wear suits, jeans, and they wear
uniforms.

They fight for what they believe in. They stand up for injustice.

They are in the front row at PTA meetings. They vote for the person
that will do the best job for family issues.

WOMEN walk and talk the extra mile to get their children in the right
schools and for getting their family the right health care.

They write to the editor, their congressmen and to the "powers that be" for things that make for a better life. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

WOMEN stick a love note in their husband's lunch box. They do without
new shoes so their children can have them. They go to the doctor with a
frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

WOMEN are honest, loyal, and forgiving They are smart, knowing that knowledge is power; but they still know how to use their softer side to make a point.

WOMEN want to be the best for their family, their friends, and themselves.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy (or cry) when they hear about a birth or a new marriage.

Their hearts break when a friend dies. They have sorrow at the loss of
a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no
strength left.

A WOMAN'S touch can cure any ailment. They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart. She can make a romantic evening unforgettable.

WOMEN come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes. They live in homes,
apartments and cabins. They drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to
show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman
is what makes the world spin!

WOMEN do more than just give birth. They bring joy and hope. They give
compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and
friends.

And all they want back is a hug, a smile and for you to do the same to
people you come in contact with. Women have a lot to say and a lot to
give."

Does a talent come from our birth to us?

It has been two days since I saw Suzan Boyle on the internet.Until today,I haven't understood who she is.Thanks to the videos on the internet, right now I know who she is.I got amazed when I watched first. One the one hand,She has a stunning talent but on the other hand, she is just a villager and it makes me think about that: Is singing songs a really talent which the person always has? Anyway I need to considered for a while :)
